POWER OF THE GOSPEL

And my preaching was very plain, not with a lot of oratory and human wisdom, but the Holy Spirit’s power was in my words, proving to those who heard them that the message was from God. – 1 Corinthians 2:4

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. – Romans 1:16

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. – 1 Corinthians 1:18

For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. – 1 Corinthians 4:20

for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. – 1 Thessalonians 1:5

Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on their heads. – Acts 2:3
